Common Questions

We've gathered the answers to questions we hear most often from new and returning students.

Do I need prior yoga experience to join a class?

No previous experience is required. We offer classes specifically designed for beginners, including Hatha yoga for beginners, where instructors guide you through foundational poses at a comfortable pace. Our teachers provide modifications for all skill levels.

What should I bring to my first class?

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. We provide yoga mats, blocks, and blankets at the studio. You may bring your own mat if you prefer. We recommend bringing a water bottle and arriving 10-15 minutes early to settle in.

How do I book a class?

You can book classes by contacting us directly at +1 709-555-0191 or emailing contact@nobira.pro. We'll help you find the right class for your schedule and experience level. Walk-ins are welcome when space is available, but booking in advance ensures your spot.

What are your studio hours?

We're open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Class times vary throughout the day to accommodate different schedules. Contact us for the current class timetable.

How much do classes cost?

We offer various pricing options including single classes, class packages, and membership plans. Contact us for current pricing information. We can help you find an option that fits your budget and how often you'd like to practice.

Is prenatal yoga safe during all trimesters?

Our prenatal yoga classes are designed for pregnant individuals at various stages. However, we recommend consulting with your healthcare provider before starting any new exercise program during pregnancy. Our instructors are trained to offer appropriate modifications for each trimester.

What's the difference between Hatha and Vinyasa yoga?

Hatha yoga focuses on holding individual poses with attention to alignment and breath, making it ideal for beginners. Vinyasa flow links poses together in a continuous sequence synchronized with breathing, creating a more dynamic practice. Both are offered at Nobira.

Can children attend classes?

Yes, we offer dedicated kids yoga classes designed specifically for younger practitioners. These classes use age-appropriate activities and poses to help children develop body awareness, focus, and relaxation skills in a fun environment.

What is yoga nidra?

Yoga nidra, sometimes called yogic sleep, is a guided meditation practice done lying down. It's designed to bring deep relaxation while maintaining awareness. This class is excellent for stress relief and improving sleep quality, and requires no physical exertion.

Do you offer private sessions?

Please contact us to inquire about private instruction. One-on-one sessions can be helpful for addressing specific concerns, injuries, or for those who prefer individual attention before joining group classes.

What if I have an injury or physical limitation?

Please inform your instructor before class about any injuries or limitations. Our teachers are experienced in offering modifications and alternative poses. Classes like yoga for back health are specifically designed to address common physical concerns safely.

Where are you located and is parking available?

We're located at 73 Duckworth St, St. John's, NL A1C 1E6. Street parking is available in the area. We recommend arriving a few minutes early to find parking and settle into the studio space before class begins.

What's your cancellation policy?

We appreciate advance notice if you need to cancel a booking so we can offer your spot to another student. Contact us directly to discuss our cancellation policy and any specific concerns about rescheduling.

Is Power yoga suitable for beginners?

Power yoga is a more vigorous, fitness-oriented style that builds strength and stamina. While beginners can attend, we generally recommend starting with Hatha or a beginner-focused class to learn foundational poses first. Our instructors can advise on the best starting point for you.
